Captain Jim’s Seafood Restaurant in Miami Gets Featured on The Hungry Post

An article from The Hungry Post, a popular foodie publication, featured Captain Jim’s Seafood last June 30th. Dubbing us as an “Anthony Bourdain Approved” restaurant, the author Diana Rodriguez sang praises about some of our best dishes. We here at Captain Jim’s Seafood are proud to add this title to our already impressive list of accolades received from other prestigious publications.

Our seafood restaurant had its humble beginning as a processing center for fish that would be delivered to restaurants around the Miami area. Founder Jim Hanson slowly grew the business from a makeshift dining area in front of a fish case to the popular restaurant it is known as today. Years later, current owner Jeffrey Ross, a renowned businessman and restaurateur, stepped in and gave the place a much needed revamp. He reinvented the menu, keeping the crowd pleasers while adding a new twist. Since then, Captain Jim’s Seafood has been garnering awards left and right, including Trip Advisor’s Award of Excellence in 2015 and 2016, and New Times’ 2016 Best Seafood Market In Miami. IMPORTANT TIPS TO CONSIDER WHEN EATING AT SEAFOOD RESTAURANTS IN MIAMI

Miami Beach is a great area for tourists looking to have some fun. On average, tourists spend around 6.6 nights here, giving them plenty of time to experience what the seafood restaurants have to offer. A lot of these establishments offer great views and fresh platters that you can’t find anywhere else. For a truly unforgettable gastronomic adventure in the Miami area, here are a few handy tips.

Menu Variety

A great seafood experience is not complete without having a diverse menu to choose from. Look for restaurants that offer a wide variety of fish, including snapper, grouper, salmon, and cod. Often times, the best places for menu variety are restaurants that serve as a seafood market. They’ll display their fresh catch of the day in a window that you can look through, giving you a more personal experience.

You can choose fish that look the most appetizing and watch it prepped before your very eyes. Some other items to look for in a quality menu include shrimp, shellfish, scallops, crab legs, and lobster. The more varied the menu is, the easier it will be to find a dish you like. This is particularly true if you are visiting the Miami area with some children, who may be picky eaters. Read more on this article: http://bit.ly/2nuCa3n
